Accessibility
The standard applied here, the gaps that remain, and the route for reporting one.
Conformance Target
cmmcalibrationnashville.com is built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and accessibility is treated as part of the quality of the site and not an addition to it.
What that comes to in practice: text that meets contrast requirements, headings in a logical order, form fields with visible labels and clear error messages, images with text alternatives, and pages that can be operated with a keyboard alone. Whenever pages change, conformance is reviewed again.
Known Limitations
Some content falls short of the target, and the shortfalls are known: documents supplied by third parties, certificates and scope documents issued as PDFs included, may not be tagged for screen readers, while older uploaded files may lack text alternatives.
Reporting a Barrier
Barriers are reported through the contact page, which also lists the contact details for the desk that handles them. Acknowledgement follows within three (3) business days.
Correction of the underlying page takes as long as it takes; in the meantime the information requested is supplied in an alternative format, whether plain email, large print, or read over the telephone. The barrier itself holds up no request.
