How Requests Are Handled

Include the make, model and serial number of each instrument, the last calibration date if known, and whether service is needed on-site or at a laboratory. The item is booked in only after a quotation in writing has been returned and accepted. Do not ship an instrument before the quotation is accepted. On-site requests should note the measurement envelope and available power at the machine.

Contact Details

General enquiries receive a direct reply. Where a price is needed the request moves to the quotation desk, and the response is issued in writing. The request a quote page lists what to include — send that much and the first reply is the quotation itself.

What to Include

Requests submitted above go to the desk that deals with them. Written detail travels with the message, which is why those are cleared faster than telephone enquiries. Where the subject is an existing job, include its reference number.
